  7. May 07,  · The mix, by Peter Tägtgren, is also near-perfect. He’s able to get the modern edge out of Possessed while also preserving the magic of Randy Burns. Really, go into Revelations of Oblivion not expecting Possessed of old, but to come out the other end scorched, maligned and crazy for more.
  8. His harsh vocals are actually quite nice, incorporating a similar style as before, keeping the Devolved sound intact. Unfortunately, this album also marks the first time any Devolved album uses clean vocals, and they’re blended in really badly, weakening the strength Oblivion was struggling to reach anyway. They’re first heard slightly in “Into Fire,” but “World in Denial” showcases these poor cleans properly.
